About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Emily and I'm 23 years old. I'm hoping this page will help you, the reader, get acquainted with me, the author. It's actually kind of funny but think about it: you guys know more about my sex life then you do about the rest of me and my life! For starters, I am a current senior at the University of New Hampshire. I grew up in New York State and moved to New Hampshire for college. About a year ago, I made the move permanent as I signed a lease with my boyfriend of two years. Together, we share a tiny one bedroom apartment and are as happy as can be...unless the dishes aren't done. In school, I'm studying human development and family studies with a dual minor in adolescent and youth development and justice studies (phew!). When I graduate I want to work with at-risk youth - especially adolescent girls - to educate and empower them.

contract for the "Untitled Virgin Project," or what many of you now know as "Virgin Territory." There was a definite moment of doubt as I knew that signing my name next to the 'X' would change my life - for better or for worse. Luckily, it was for the better. Jesse and I were filmed for a total of 3 days in frigid December and it was such a whirlwind! Filming was a life changing experience for sure. My episode aired the following September and I cannot begin to tell you how proud I felt to see it all transpire in front of my eyes. Rarely do we get to experience moments when you can literally see your life changing in front of you and it's all because I had the balls to sign my name.

Beyond that, you are all left in the dark a little bit. Because I love lists and facts, I've decided to post 20 facts about yours truly! Feel free to comment and leave some of your own personal factoids! :)

1. Everyone in my immediate family is left handed. 
2. I'm weirdly obsessed with license plates, keys, maps, and dates.
3. I've religiously kept a journal since I was a sophomore in high school.
4. I love color coordination. I will go out of my way in a store or in my nail polish collection to put everything in rainbow order.
5. I have a tattoo of New York on my left ankle. The placement and day I got it are very significant.
6. For whatever reason, I grind my teeth while I sleep and I've been told it sounds like I'm chewing on sand.
7. My favorite magazine is Oprah magazine.
8. I'm a natural redhead...except for a few months in 2012 when I stupidly dyed it black.
9. Education is my drug. I cannot get enough.
10. I'm always cold. Yes, even in the summer when it's 80-something degrees. Me + A.C. = bad
11. Tell me your birthday once and I'll remember it forever.
12. I don't usually get emotionally involved in movies (Titanic and The Notebook got zero tears) but after I saw the last Hobbit movie in theaters, I sobbed like a baby.
13. It may be super mainstream, but 'Let It Go' means more to me than you will ever know. :')
14. Once I put my pajamas on for the night - whether it be 6pm or 10pm - I'm in for the night and aint nobody gonna get me out of the house.
15. I'm becoming weirdly obsessed with reading the news.
16. My life mantra is 'Everything Happens For A Reason'
17. I cannot stand people who walk slow, people who stop suddenly while they're walking, or groups of people walking towards me who make zero effort to move to one side of the sidewalk.
18. I love when it rains or snows.
19. I sleep with Jesse on my right and a collection of stuffed animals on my left. #nevergrowup
20. After I graduated high school (Class of 2011 WAHOO!!!), I took a year off and worked at Michaels Arts & Crafts as a cashier.
