Virgin Territory

Who? Me, my wonderful boyfriend Jesse, and my amazing therapist, Dr. Karen Ruskin.
What? Virgin Territory is an MTV show that follows exciting and awkward lives of 15 virgins from across the United States.
Where? Most of the cast lives in Florida but Arizona, Utah, Virginia, and of course New Hampshire, were also featured. However, most of my filming was done in or around Boston, Massachusetts. All of the scenes at Jesse's apartment and The Rusty Hammer dinner were filmed in New Hampshire though!
When? I was filmed in December 2013 for one weekend. My episode aired on September 24, 2014.
How? The process started before I had my first doctor's appointment. I stumbled upon a casting for virgins on MTV's website. I sent an email of interest to the casting director but received an email saying that they were no longer casting. Fast forward to late August when I saw they were casting again! I applied and this time heard back from MTV and filled out a bunch of paperwork and a very long and detailed questionnaire. I'm pretty sure when I was done filling in the questionnaire, the Word document was around 20 pages long. After that, I heard back again saying that I got a Skype audition! I Skyped with someone in NYC for about 3 hours and it was basically just restating everything I had said in the questionnaire. After that, my friends and some of my family were interviewed. A few weeks later I got a call from the lady in NYC who interviewed me saying that the producers out in California loved my tape and that they would soon be in touch. That lead me to another 2-3 hour audition with some casting people out in California. On November 11, I got a text from one of the producers saying they wanted to FaceTime and that's when they told me that I was cast!!! The next week consisted of filling out a ton of paperwork and nightly calls to the producers to coordinate filming, etc. Right before Thanksgiving, I had to meet with a therapist to make sure I was mentally stable to be filmed. It was this really old guy who sat in my dorm room and asked me lots of really questions. Along with that was an 800 question personality assessment which took me a solid 2 hours to complete. Thanksgiving break consisted of 29378293 calls to various producers about various things and then they flew out the first weekend in December to film!
